For over 70 years, the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team has supported the Navy's mission to provide affordable and credible strategic defense. We are seeking a Project Engineer - Configuration Management with experience in coordinating planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. The Project Engineer plans and formulates the Engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. You will also evaluates and approve design changes, specification and drawing releases, and coordinate activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Basic Qualifications :
- Experience integrating and implementing Configuration Management program requirements.
- Understanding of DOD Production and Development programs.
- Government or Military customer experience and / or an understanding of DOD Contracts.
- Experience, or equivalent knowledge of Configuration Management hardware / design work.
- Final Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills :
Knowledge and understands how to apply EIA-649, the National Consensus Standard for Configuration ManagementExperience with design and Product Data Management tools like / or similar tools to EPDM.Works with SharePoint, LiveLink, or other workgroup collaboration tools.Experience with electronic data vaulting and digital data handling using ePDMAbility to quickly learn new tools and processesStrong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationshipsStrong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervisionProficient with and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft OfficeRecognized as an authority in systems thinking techniques with experience with a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their application.Supports and process program design & change management production and development design information using LM Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) workflow, including the use and implementation of associated change objects such as Change Tasks (CTs), Change Requests (CRs), or Change Notices (CNs).Exposure / or training to drawing and / or CAD to facilitate drawing and model reviews.Security Clearance Statement : This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position : 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate : The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
