You will be the Mechanical Design Engineering Lead for the SLCM-N development team. Our team is responsible for leading mechanical engineering efforts to support the development of a tube-launched missile, including trade studies, design development, and testing.

What You Will Be Doing As the Mechanical Design Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for guiding the mechanical engineering team through trade studies to down-select between two system architectures, and then leading the team through a PDR-scoped review of the selected design. You will also oversee the development and testing of a demo test asset, ensuring that the design meets system requirements. Your responsibilities will include :

• Leading the mechanical engineering team in trade studies to down-select between two system architectures
• Guiding the team through a PDR-scoped review of the selected design
• Supporting the development and testing of a demo test asset
• Determining tasking for yourself and the mechanical engineering team
• Ensuring the developed design meets system requirements
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate design trade studies
• Applying knowledge of mechanical hardware fabrication approaches and techniques
