Job Description

Human Resources Benefits and Payroll Specialist . This role is ideal for individuals with a background in Human Resources, specifically in benefits administration and payroll. You will be part of a dedicated team, helping to manage and support employee benefit programs and payroll functions for clients.

Location : Vancouver, WA

Duration : Direct Hire

Hours / Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Compensation : $23 – $33 per hour, depending on experience

Responsibilities :

Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans.

Process and manage payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Respond to client and employee inquiries regarding benefits and payroll, resolving issues promptly.

Maintain accurate records for employee enrollments, terminations, payroll adjustments, and changes in benefits status.

Assist in preparing and reviewing benefits and payroll-related reports and communications for clients.

Ensure compliance with company policies, carrier guidelines, and regulatory requirements for both benefits and payroll administration.

Provide support during peak periods such as open enrollment and payroll cycles, including on-site assistance when necessary.

Collaborate closely with Benefits Consultants, Payroll Specialists, and other HR team members to support various HR initiatives.

Qualifications :

1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on benefits administration and payroll.

Strong knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and compliance requirements.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team environment, especially during peak times.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

Experience with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, or online benefits enrollment platforms is a plus.

Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Benefits Highlights :

Vacation : Two weeks in year 1, three weeks from years 2 to 4, and four weeks starting at the fifth year.

Volunteer Leave : 4 days (2 individual, 2 team-based).

Holidays : 8 total holidays per year, including 2 floating holidays.

401(k) : 100% match on the first 3%, then 50% match on the next 2%.

Health Savings Account (HSA) : 50% match on the first $1,000 contributed.

Pay Details : $25.00 to $33.00 per hour
