Manager, Innovation Pipeline & Development
The Manager, Innovation Pipeline & Development will be responsible for leading the sourcing and evaluation of startups for the Healthcare Innovation Engine and other initiatives, and supporting the development of compelling proposals that advance pilot opportunities, secure funding, and strengthen partnerships. This role will oversee the startup pipeline from initial identification and due diligence through to readiness for pilot consideration, ensuring a steady flow of high-potential innovations into the Engine. The Manager will support the development and coordination of grant applications, proposals, and pitch materialshelping to manage the pipeline of development opportunities to support programmatic goals in collaboration with the Senior Director. In addition, the Manager will play a role in researching corporate partnerships, developing industry-facing strategies, and identifying opportunities for corporate and foundation relationships. The position requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to balance detailed startup assessments with persuasive external writing and partner development.
The Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of the SciTech Innovation Hub and will work in close collaboration with the Healthcare Program Manager (who manages pilots, roundtables, and stakeholder execution) as well as the broader SciTech Scity team (Executive Director and Coordinator).
Liberty Science Center is developing a "Science City of Tomorrow" in Jersey Citya 30-acre innovation campus called SciTech Scity devoted to using science and technology to address humanity's greatest challenges, from inadequate healthcare to climate change, and create a better future for all of us. The new campus, including the existing Liberty Science Center, home of the largest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere, will be officially named the Frank J. Guarini Innovation Campus and is scheduled to open in 2026.

The Manager's responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the Engine. The Engine is a highly dynamic project and responsibilities may shift, but will center on the following essential functions :

Classification, Location & Schedule
The SciTech Scity Healthcare Program Manager is a full-time position that is exempt according to FLSA overtime provisions. This role is a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 2 days / week on-site with additional days on-site on an as-needed basis subject to business needs. Occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
The base compensation for this role is $70,000-$80,000. The final salary offer will be commensurate with abilities, education, certifications, and experience. In addition to compensation for salary, you will receive compensation in the form of generous benefits, including, but not limited to :
