Job Title : Broadcast IT Engineer

Compensation : $105K – $125K salary upon conversion
Position Overview :
We are seeking a Broadcast IT Engineer I to support corporate and broadcast IT infrastructure for live events, productions, and daily operations. This role blends IT expertise with broadcast production support, providing hands-on assistance during live broadcasts and event staging while ensuring systems remain reliable and secure. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and enjoys contributing to dynamic production teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, integrate, and maintain IT-centric workflows and technologies for real-time broadcast and production
- Provide on-site technical support for live event staging and broadcasting, including live video production techniques
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, directing Tier 1 resources when necessary
- Ensure maximum uptime in live, high-pressure environments
- Maintain detailed documentation including as-builts, cable labeling, wire lists, and technical drawings
- Support a rotating coverage schedule for arena events, with occasional 24 / 7 availability
- Submit scheduled change requests and communicate active issues promptly
- Research and recommend new or upgraded broadcast and IT equipment
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree2+ years’ experience supporting computer hardware, networks, and PC operating systems5+ years’ multimedia experience, including live event and broadcast productionProficiency with Windows Server 2016, Active Directory, DNS / DHCP, and Office 365Strong problem-solving skills in live production environmentsFamiliarity with online streaming platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and similar servicesExperience with broadcast production tools and workflowsKnowledge of Visio / AutoCAD for creating / interpreting technical documentationExcellent communication skills and attention to detailFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysPreferred Skills :
