Chief Information Officer (CIO)

The City of Topeka is seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the Citys technology strategy and operations. The CIO aligns information technology (IT) initiatives with goals manages IT budgets oversees IT staff and ensures the Citys technology supports its overall objectives. This position also plays a key role in digital transformation cybersecurity and data management.

What youll do :

• Plan and direct all information technology operations including enterprise systems design systems analysis applications development data center operations and citywide data communications.
• Oversee the management of in-house and inter-building network infrastructure including fiber optic systems.
• Oversee facilitate and direct the citywide telephone system.
• Provide leadership guidance and supervision to the IT team.
• Provide long range and comprehensive planning for the acquisition of all new technology and services and the upgrade of existing equipment.

The ideal candidate :

Minimum Qualifications :

Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field is required with at least 10 years of experience in administration of information systems and technology with an increasing level of responsibility throughout to include personnel management.

Annual Entry Salary : Up to $156134 depending on qualifications
