The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative provides high-quality specimen collection and patient interaction services in a clinical setting. This role represents the face of the organization , ensuring a trustworthy and professional patient experience while performing skilled phlebotomy and following all established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.Maintain a safe and professional environment while interacting with patients and staff.Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.Verify patient demographic information and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.Maintain required records and documentation with accuracy.Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, and the public.Travel to multiple locations as needed and provide coverage with minimal notice.Train at various locations based on trainer availability.Required Experience
Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.Keyboard / data entry experience required.Nice-to-Have Experience
Medical assistant or paramedic training.Phlebotomy certification (preferred; required only in CA, NV, WA).Experience working independently with minimal supervision.Required Skills
High-level phlebotomy proficiency (pediatric & geriatric).Ability to perform quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and decision-making skills.Preferred Skills
Excellent customer focus and communication skills.Ability to adapt to change and work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if applicable).Additional Skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in high-volume settings.Commitment to company Policies & Procedures, including dress code and safety.Transparent communication with peers, supervisors, and patients.Shift / Hours
