Job Title : OB / GYN Physician

Job Type : Full-Time

Location : Hobart IN

Service Setting : Inpatient / Outpatient

Schedule : Monday Friday with 1 : 5 call rotation

On-Call Expectations : 1 in 5 rotation

Start Date : Upon completion of credentialing (approximately 90120 days post-offer)

PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE

Patient Demographics : Adult women prenatal through post-menopausal

Average Daily Volume / Census : Varies based on clinic and hospital schedule

Admissions & Rounding : Included

Consults & Follow-Ups : Yes

Case Mix / Clinical Focus Areas : Full-spectrum Obstetrics and Gynecology including deliveries gynecologic surgery and preventative womens health services

FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS

Beds in Department / Unit : Integrated within a full-service hospital environment

EMR System : Epic

Specialty Backup : 24 / 7 Anesthesia NICU and Surgical Support

Support Staff : Nurse practitioners in both inpatient and outpatient settings; clinical and administrative support available

Leadership & Reporting Structure : Reports to the Medical Director Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Reason for Opening : Growth and service expansion within the Community Healthcare System

CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE

Board Requirements : Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology

DEA & Certifications : Active DEA; BLS and ACLS required

Credentialing Timeline : 90120 days

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Board Status : BC / BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology

State License Required : Indiana medical license or eligibility to obtain

Certifications : DEA BLS ACLS

Experience : Robotic surgery experience required; prior inpatient and outpatient practice preferred

Additional Requirements : Commitment to quality patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care including deliveries and surgical procedures

Participate in inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic operations

Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination

Collaborate with nurse practitioners and other physicians across the system

Engage in quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives

Contribute to the continued growth and development of the OB / GYN service line
