Pay Range : $100.00 $115.00 / Hour (Pay Rate)

Schedule : Full-Time Onsite

Position Summary :

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive psychiatric and medical care within an inpatient mental health hospital setting. The provider will evaluate diagnose and manage the health needs of patients with mental health and emotional disorders including individuals in a forensic environment. This role works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities :

Conduct patient assessments obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic psychiatric and medical conditions.

Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results.

Prescribe and manage therapeutic and psychotropic medications within scope of practice.

Develop and modify treatment plans and track patient progress.

Collaborate with physicians nurses psychologists and therapists in care planning.

Document all clinical work and maintain compliant medical records.

Participate in patient education and provide support for patient goals.

Maintain patient safety and demonstrate effective behavioral management strategies.

Required Skills & Knowledge :

Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.

Knowledge of psychiatric disorders behavioral health and psychopharmacology.

Experience working with patients who may display escalated or challenging behaviors.

Proficient in documentation and use of EHR / EMR systems.

Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications :

Active Nurse Practitioner license (State of Oregon or willingness to obtain).

Experience in inpatient psychiatric mental health or forensic treatment settings preferred.

Current BLS Certification required.
