What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the go-to technical resource for installing, configuring, and supporting a mix of networking and server technologies. Think switches, firewalls, access points, on-prem servers, cloud resources, identity platforms , the full ecosystem. You’ll troubleshoot issues, take on escalated tickets, and make sure customers understand the solutions you're putting in place.
You’ll also document what you design and build (especially around configs and diagrams), keep an eye on emerging tech, and occasionally head on-site when a hands-on fix is needed.
Day-to-Day Work Includes :
Troubleshooting network and system issues with a calm, methodical approachHandling escalations from internal team membersConfiguring and maintaining firewalls, switches, access points, and related devicesSupporting customer server environments when neededWorking with DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, and identity platforms like Entra ID and ActiveDirectory
Designing network requirements and implementing solutions that fit each customer’s setupVisiting customer sites to install, repair, or evaluate equipmentSupporting cloud environments (Azure VMs, VPN gateways, Intune, Entra ID)Researching new tools or technologies that could improve customer environmentsJumping in on Windows Server, VMware / Hyper-V, or endpoint issues when they pop upWhat You Bring :
A degree in IT / CS, or equivalent hands-on experience (2+ years in networking)A solid grasp of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting logicFamiliarity with equipment from Cisco, HP, SonicWall, Palo Alto, or UbiquitiStrong understanding of IP addressing / subnetting, VLANs, DNS / DHCP, RDP, LDAPExperience with virtualization (VMware / Hyper-V)Comfort supporting Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and commonsecurity tools
Security+ or Network+ is a bonus, not a requirementExperience with Duo / MFA solutions is a plusAbility to diagnose workstation issues in Windows 10 / 11 environments
