HX5 is currently seeking a qualified Remedy / Helix Software Developer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Performing application development utilizing the BMC Remedy / Helix / ITSM platform.
  • Administering and maintaining baseline, overlaid, and custom applications.
  • Planning, testing, and implementing system upgrades to ensure platform currency and stability.
  • Maintaining and optimizing Remedy Change Management, Release Management, Problem Management, and Task Management modules.
  • Ensuring process workflows align with organizational requirements and industry best practices.
  • Administering application data on a daily basis.
  • Processing queries and generating reports as requested by end users.
  • Interfacing directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and provide technical resolution.
  • Working closely with cross-functional team members to ensure cross-platform module compatibility and standardization.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all Remedy systems, integrations, and modules to provide backup support for

team members.

  • De-conflicting competing requests and requirements to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and following documented processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with established protocols and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performing additional duties as required to support organizational objectives.

    • The successful candidate will :

    • Education andExperience :

  • Must have 6, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience
  • Must have 4, or more, years of directly related software developer experience
  • Must have proven experience with the BMC Remedy / Helix ITSM platform.
  • Must have a strong understanding of ITIL processes and frameworks.
  • Must have experience with system administration and application development within Remedy / Helix.
  • Must be willing, and able, to work late-night maintenance windows to support patching and system updates.
  • Must have, or obtain within 90 days of start, a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex : Security+)
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

    • Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

    This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. It w ill require off-hours and weekend on-site support during mission / test events. Travel required (approximately 10% of the average year). Tele-work is available for brief periods, but on-site support is required for all mission and test events.

    Other Position Requirements :

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
