This position is Remote in MN. You will have the flexibility to work remotely as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four days per week.

As a member of the Optum Health Marketing Production Management team, the Senior Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for managing and executing B2B and B2C communications strategies and tactics. This position will have direct involvement with internal operations teams and will drive the execution of campaigns and assets. Cross‑team collaboration and synergy identification is a key component of this role.
Additionally, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to execute complex, multi‑component projects, against multiple metrics, and excel in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented work environment. You must be highly motivated, roll up your sleeves, and be a self‑starter with a passion for communicating. You should thrive on seeking new insights, finding creative solutions and measuring results.
This position is full time. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m. CST.
We offer 2–4 weeks of paid on‑the‑job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with all internal and external cross‑functional teams including print delivery fulfillment, email, creative, marketing manager, data analytics and data teams for omni‑channel campaigns
Oversee projects from start to finish, managing timelines and ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered smoothly and on time
Use multiple platforms for organizing, tracking and managing projects
Schedule and co‑lead kick‑off meetings with marketing manager
Manage creative development process with internal and external creative partners
Must be able to learn quickly and adapt to new processes easily
Continue to refine processes and look for innovation
Understand and adapt to the Optum culture
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
Must be 18 years of age or older
4+ years of project management experience
1+ year of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field
Ability to work any of our full‑time shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m. CST
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with marketing project management systems (Workfront)
Experience executing marketing plans and strategies for B2B and B2C
Telecommuting Requirements
Reside within the state of Minnesota
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high‑speed internet connection or leverage an existing high‑speed internet service
Soft Skills
Keen curiosity for continuous learning and ability to apply insights to the business
Solid communications skills to present compelling case when offering up ideas

Salary and Benefits
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full‑time employment. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
