We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and efficient application of cash payments while maintaining high standards of financial accuracy. Responsibilities :

• Process and apply incoming cash payments to customer accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconcile discrepancies in customer accounts and resolve payment-related issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient billing functions.
• Utilize accounting software systems to manage and track cash activity.
• Monitor and manage automated clearing house (ACH) transactions to ensure proper processing.
• Maintain detailed records of cash applications and prepare regular financial reports.
• Assist in the implementation of best practices for accounts receivable processes.
• Analyze data to identify trends or issues in payment processing and recommend improvements.
• Support the team in handling high-volume transactions with precision and speed.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable (AR) and billing functions.
• Experience with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions and cash activity management.
• Ability to process and analyze financial data with accuracy.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address discrepancies and payment issues.
• Strong organizational skills to manage high volumes of transactions efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and customers.
• Prior experience in wholesale distribution or a similar industry is a plus.
