PAY RATE : $28.78- $30.29 Per Hour

JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE

The Lead Community Intervention Worker (Lead CIW) serves as a liaison between youth, adults and the community to minimize acts of gang violence and to improve community relations. The CIW provides incident response and delivers Transitional Client Services. CIW have strong ties to the local community and existing relationships, being familiar with the gang culture of the target community. The Lead CIW position requires a combination of administrative / office duties and field / outreach work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assign and monitor case load of CIW team :

Coordinate CIW response / deployment to Gang incidents (30 minute response, 24 / 7 on call).

Serves and engages gang-involved youth or young adults, ages of 14 to 25 years in a GRYD Zone

Plans strategies to engage local gangs / crews proactively maintain peace via safe passages, and activities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

Maintain a minimum of 11 FCM clients updated and active
