Location : Albuquerque, NM 87106 (New Mexico healthcare jobs)

Facility : Level I Trauma Center, Emergency Department

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : February 23, 2026

Shift : 12-hour days (07 : 00 – 19 : 30)

Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours available)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680-$1800

Patient Ratio : 1 : 5

Guaranteed Hours : Contracted hours per week (facility may call off up to 3 times during the assignment)

Scrub Color : Black (not provided)

Charting System : Cerner EMR

Parking : Free onsite parking

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active NM Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain (license can be pending at submission)

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience (1.5 years considered for strong candidates)

Level I or II Trauma Center experience required; Level I strongly preferred

Prior travel nursing experience preferred

Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must have TNCC prior to submission), NIHSS (can be pending until compliance deadline)

No RQI certifications accepted

No local candidates within 75 miles of Albuquerque

COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical / religious exemptions accepted with documentation)

Personal transportation required

ER Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in a busy Emergency Department

Administer IV and oral medications, adhering to safety protocols and barcode scanning procedures

Perform triage, trauma / resuscitation, and emergency interventions for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

Accurately document and communicate clinical findings using Cerner EMR

Float to Adult Progressive Care Units (PCUs) and ED Holding areas as needed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and social services

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures

Participate in orientation, ongoing education, and annual training modules
