AlliedTravelCareers is working with Medix to find a qualified MRI Tech in Connecticut!

About The Position

Medix is seeking a skilled and compassionate  MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel contract to partner with our client, a leading healthcare facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated clinician to provide high-quality care in a supportive outpatient setting.

Job Details

  • Location : Glastonbury, CT
  • Facility Type : Outpatient
  • Start Date : 12 / 8 / 2025
  • Length of Assignment : 13 weeks
  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM (40 hours per week)
  • State License needed : CT state license is not required
  • Pay : Compensation packages, including hourly rates and potential stipends, will be thoroughly discussed with your recruiter.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of MRI procedures on an adult and mobile pediatric patient population.
  • Manage patient volume, with an expected range of 12-26 scans per day (30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute specialty slots).
  • Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment (GE).
  • Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (Medinformatics) and PACS.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Accurately maintain patient records and procedure documentation.

    Job Requirements

  • Certification : ARRT or ARMRIT Certification is required .
  • Certification : MRI Certification is required .
  • Certification : CPR (BLS) Certification is required .
  • Experience : A minimum of 1 year of experience in high field MRI is required (2+ years is preferred).
  • Must demonstrate ability to perform intravenous injections with proficiency.
  • Ability to work the assigned day shift : Monday - Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM.

    As a clinician on assignment with Medix, you will be eligible for the following benefits :

  • Paid Sick Leave : Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances.
  • Health Benefits / Dental / Vision : Medix offers 6 different health plans : 3 Major Medical Plans, 2 Fixed Indemnity Plans (Standard and Preferred), and 1 Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan. Eligibility for health benefits is based on verifying that an average of 30 hours per week during the first 4 weeks of the work assignment has been met. If you meet eligibility requirements and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
  • 401k : Eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1 / 1, 4 / 1, 7 / 1, and 10 / 1.
