Systems / Network Administrator
As a Unit Level Intelligence (ULI) Toolkit System / Network Admin you will play a pivotal role in actively shaping and expanding our infrastructure within the environment. You will be responsible to install, configure, test, and maintain Windows operating systems and application software patches and service packs on servers and laptops.
Responsibilities :
- Apply and maintain software baseline using Department of Defense (DoD) / Air Force (AF) approved applications to new equipment
- Coordinate equipment availability and document equipment on hand with Logistics Manager, maintain Continuity documentation in a knowledge management library or database
- Perform vulnerability scans
- Analyze and resolve hardware / software integration issues across server and network infrastructures
- Test, evaluate, and prepare hardware, software, and related technology for security accreditation and compliance
- Implement approved system changes, execute patch management and maintain documentation per Change & Configuration Management policies
- Prepare reports detailing the results of the test and evaluation including specific recommendations
- Research methods and technologies to discover, interpret, and recommend solutions to technical problems
- Provide support on AF exercises and test events when requested by the government
- Provide clear, concise, and accurate communications, both verbally and in writing
- Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
- Provide Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
- Test and deploy IT hardware and software capabilities to global customers as directed
- Perform regular tests and data backups to ensure the supported systems and services work as directed
- Perform normal operations and maintenance functions on IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance daily. This includes performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on servers, switches, and other support infrastructure
- Analyze and resolve problems associated with server hardware, operating systems, and applications software while adhering to mandated security requirements and guidelines
- Troubleshoot customer application, hardware, network, and related performance issues
Qualifications :
Active DOD Top Secret SCI security clearanceBachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree8 years' experience as a System / Network Administration in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity's requiredDOD 8140 certification at IAT Level 2 (i.e. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security, Security+ Continuing Education (CE), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)Strong interpersonal skills requiredFamiliarity with communications, encryption, networking, programming, IT systems, and cybersecurity fundamentals and related servicesFamiliarity with Docker and KubernetesFamiliarity with cloud computing concepts, AWS, processes, platforms, providers, and systems, including access, affordability, and performance optionsWhat You Can Expect :

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is : $85,800 - $180,200
