Job Description

The Operations Coordinator serves as the first point of contact in assisting faculty, staff, students, and other Brown University constituents about the department’s transportation, parking and ID card program and services. The Coordinator is responsible for various functions including administrative office support, customer service, cash management, billing, and various systems usage and support.

Major responsibilities include :

  • Responsible for cash / credit billing and cash management.
  • Responsible for administrative support of parking and other transportation related operations
  • Responsible for administrative support for the Brown ID card program​
  • Responsible for the addition and maintenance of Affiliates / Sponsored ID’s to OIM (identity management system)
  • Provide support for the Bear Bucks Vending and Parking Pay-Station Program

Qualifications include :

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two to three years’ office administrative experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service with the ability to handle complaints pleasantly and skillfully
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills in a multiple priority environment
  • Ability to shift focus and prioritize in a pressured environment
  • Proficient computing skills, including spreadsheets, databases and word processing software. Microsoft Office and G-mail / Google Docs experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of card access, identity management, photo imaging and transportation / parking systems preferred.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and provide first line equipment maintenance / repair on various network terminals, such as ID card printers and Value Port equipment desired
  • Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
  • A criminal and education background check is required.
