San Mateo County Health is seeking an experienced individual for the position of
Behavioral Health Substance Use Treatment Program Analyst II.
The Position
The Behavioral Health Substance Use Treatment Program Analyst will provide a variety of analytical and administrative support to the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Services Unit. The Analyst's responsibilities include developing, monitoring and evaluating treatment program performance, overseeing contract deliverables, and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations. The Analyst will also manage substance use treatment programs and prevention partnerships, as well as serve as a liaison to contracted providers, and support grant and policy implementation efforts.
There is currently one vacancy in the Behavioral Health & Recovery Services (BHRS) Division, in the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Unit located in Belmont. This position may offer a hybrid schedule, with a combination of remote and on-site work, depending on operational needs and County requirements. The Program Analyst will travel / drive throughout the county to meet with providers, attend meetings, and occasionally to represent the County at the State level. This position will be within the AOD Contract, Performance & Monitoring Team, and will work closely with the AOD Health Services Manager II, as well as other key BHRS teams including Quality Management, Contracts, Management Information Systems and Health IT.
The Substance Use Treatment Program Analyst responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following :

The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate :
Additionally, the ideal candidate will be highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment, demonstrate strong analytical and data analysis skills, and possess excellent oral and written business communication abilities. A minimum of two years of analytical experience in behavioral health, social services, or a related field is strongly desired.

Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Analyst II : Bachelor's degree in public or business administration or a related field, and two years of professional level analytical, administrative or programmatic experience in a behavioral health services field.
