Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks an experienced Physical Therapist for a home health position in North Carolina requiring at least 1 year of recent home health experience and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Home health setting with an average of 6 patient visits per day
  • Covers 60-80 miles of driving per day with weekly mileage reimbursement
  • Patients include individuals with chronic diseases and those recovering from orthopedic surgery
  • Uses multiple technologies including EPIC Rover (view only), Focura, Homecare Homebase (HCHB), and Samsung Note 9 phones
  • No weekend, call, or major holiday requirements
  • 13-week schedule cycles
  • Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the home unit
  • Responsibilities include patient evaluation, reassessment, discharge planning, and supervision of PTAs
  • Supported by departmental leadership, scheduler, clinical manager, supervisor, and a collaborative clinical team
  • Five-day orientation and new employee onboarding provided
  • First-time travelers considered if experienced in home health
  • Team-oriented departmental culture with free parking
  • Grey scrubs required
  • Time-off requests require manager approval

  • Current NC PT license required; license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent home health PT experience
  • Proficiency in evaluation, reassessment, discharge, and PTA supervision
  • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems including EPIC Rover and Homecare Homebase
