Medical Records Technician - SCI Fayette

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will direct the establishment, classification, and maintenance of medical records and documents. Your work will involve developing and implementing facility policies and procedures required to ensure proper medical records completion and maintenance, as well as ensuring compliance with accrediting and certifying agencies' requirements. Work in this role will require a high degree of accuracy due to the frequency of multiple classifications or cross references in a single case. Some of duties will include supervising clerical and technical staff in the maintenance of complex medical case histories, organizing and monitoring the integrated health record systems, and preparing records for inmates paroling or being transferred. Additionally, you will prepare statistical reports and records for management review.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65.
• Telework : You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).
