This growing practice is currently searching for a dependable, out-going individual who enjoys working with the public to fill a key position. The Front Desk Specialist is the face of the company and plays an important role in the quality of service provided to our elderly patients.
The Front Desk Specialist supports providers in all aspects of patient care. S / he is responsible for collection, communication and documentation of accurate patient information. The Front Desk Specialist performs phone triage of patient questions / concerns using protocol to determine level of physician or nurse response required. Additional responsibilities include download and review of incoming test reports, maintaining the pharmacy calls, coordinating requests for prescription refills per protocol, scheduling outpatient procedures, referral appointments, outpatient testing and other diagnostic appointments as directed. The medical clerk processes patient letters, forms and other documentation as need by patients.
