C2’s client, a well-established, design-driven marketing company offering full-service print, mail and fulfillment, seeks a multifaceted Creative Writer to partner with their Creative Director or Art Director to bring inventive, engaging copy to life across internal marketing initiatives and high-visibility print projects.
You’ll enjoy the variety of concepting, brainstorming, and producing copy that makes a real impact, less digital, more print, and no shortage of creative runway. Our client’s team values sharp wit, versatility, and the confidence to “roll with the punches” while keeping things light, collaborative, and productive.

Duration : Contract, project-based, on-demand assignments
Location : Hybrid (mostly WFH) at their HQ in Waunakee
Compensation : $35-$40 / hr commensurate with experience, W-2 through C2
Benefits : C2 talent working 30+ hours / week for 30 consecutive days are eligible for medical, dental, and optional vision insurance, life insurance, and PTO accrual. (k) retirement plan with an employer match available after 90 days.
Technology : Talent must provide their own hardware and software for this assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Creative Director or Art Director to brainstorm, concept, and execute compelling copy for print-focused projects and marketing campaigns.
- Write engaging headlines, long-form copy, and advertising / marketing collateral aligned with brand standards and campaign objectives.
- Prepare and present work internally and directly to clients as needed, translating feedback into actionable revisions.
- Jump between project types and adapt copy for display ads, social media, and a range of collateral (with an emphasis on creative, not just conceptual, writing).
- Support projects with effective collaboration, strong communication, and a willingness to “wear multiple hats.”
- Maintain a positive, easygoing approach—infusing copy with humor and fresh ideas while managing multiple moving targets.
Qualifications Required :
Approximately 10 years’ experience as a copywriter, content creator, or related writing role (open to more / less for exceptional portfolios).Experience across multiple industries, such as advertising, marketing, packaging, and SaaS, B2C, and B2B, with emphasis on healthcare.Versatility in both short-form and long-form; portfolio of concept-to-completion print and campaign work.Mastery of writing, editing, and presenting copy for agency, in-house, or enterprise settings.Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and leading or co-leading creative projects.Comfortable operating independently and asynchronously in a hybrid team setting.Easygoing, funny, and adaptable; thrives in a “no egos, no drama” culture.Nice to Have :
Experience with AI-powered creative tools or technologies.SEO writing experience or a demonstrated ability to enhance content for web / social.Familiarity with visual creative tools (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
