  • About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of US Policy and Evangelism to spearhead its national policy and advocacy agenda, with a focus on advancing AI and computer science education. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and driving the organization's strategic vision, building bipartisan coalitions, and shaping legislation to achieve ambitious educational goals. This role requires a seasoned leader with a proven track record in large-scale education policy change, a deep understanding of the K-16 education landscape, and a strong background in community convening and public thought leadership. The Vice President will also be tasked with leading and developing high-impact teams, aligning advocacy efforts with programmatic initiatives, and serving as a visible national spokesperson to elevate the conversation around AI and CS education.

Candidates for this position should have at least 10 years of senior leadership experience, with a preference for those with a background in state-level education reform. The role demands exceptional communication and storytelling skills, the ability to influence high-level decision-makers, and a commitment to accountable execution. The ideal candidate will be a systems thinker, with the ability to connect policy, advocacy, and implementation into a cohesive national strategy, and will demonstrate a bias toward innovation and a strong network of education decision-makers. Technical literacy and a willingness to travel are also required. The Vice President will be a key member of the Executive Team, shaping organizational strategy and culture, and will be expected to model the company's cultural principles.
