Are you ready to go beyond? We have an exciting remote work opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager! Pratt & Whitney provides the F135 engine to the dynamic and expanding F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program. As part of the F135 engine program, Pratt & Whitney engages designated subcontractors in the United States and worldwide for development and production supplies and services, and for maintenance, repair, overhaul, and upgrade (MRO&U) services to support an expanding MRO&U network. The Pratt & Whitney Military Engines Contracts Management Organization (MECMO) provides contracts leadership and is a key contributor to the success of this activity.

What You Will Do

The Senior Contracts Manager position in MECMO reports to the Associate Director, Strategic Military Subcontracts. As a Senior Contracts Manager for the Strategic Military Subcontracts (SMS) team, you will be responsible for the comprehensive life cycle management of a portfolio of subcontracts between Pratt & Whitney Military Engines and its major subcontractors. Your activities will range from participation in pre-proposal strategy to the generation of the Request for Proposal and drafting of the subcontract, to subcontract close-out. You will be an important liaison to the Pratt & Whitney prime contracts team that negotiates the prime contract with the U.S. Government Joint Program Office and will be a key participant in the negotiations with the subcontractors. You will interact with Pratt & Whitney stakeholder organizations to ensure subcontract documentation is fully aligned with the prime contract requirements and work closely with the Pratt & Whitney Military Engines Program Management team as a business partner on contract matters to execute on the performance of the various subcontracts. Other opportunities within the SMS scope of responsibility may be assigned as required. Additional duties include participation in MECMO process improvement activities and other tasks as assigned. In order to succeed in this position, you will need to be an independent learner and strong team player. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite. You should possess strong document drafting skills, an understanding of aerospace business and legal issues, and familiarity with industry best practice process improvement tools. Approximate travel for this role is 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in Contracts; OR an Advanced degree and 7+ years of experience in Contracts + US Citizenship required, due to government contracts

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
