Site Safety Health Officer Federal Construction

The position is responsible for implementing all policies and procedures that comprise the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) including but not limited to evaluation and control of safety and health hazards in the workplace routine hazard recognition and environmental management inspection and maintain vehicles and construction equipment and training of field personnel in safety standards and proper use of construction equipment. The project safety program must be 100% compliant with USACE position will work with managers supervisors and employees to minimize occupational health and safety risks environmental exposures teach specific safe work habits and manage compliance with applicable regulations.

Top Five Responsibilities

• Provide technical and regulatory expertise to ensure compliance safe work places and continuous improvement of APP. Ensure complete compliance with EM-385 latest version.
• Assists in the development of Safety plans during pre-construction phase and throughout construction.
• Identify develop and implement programs to train supervision and employees in required safety practices fire prevention correct handling techniques for chemicals toxins equipment tools and other materials and other project specific safety applications
• Ensure contractor activities are preplanned for safety through scope review preconstruction meetings AHA review etc.
• Provide strategic direction to site and company leadership regarding project safety.

Base pay and locality pay for out of state candidates. Candidates from all locations will beconsidered specifically for a specific project or a certain timeframe due to their expertise inthis particular area.
