We are currently seeking aFinishing / Coating Sales Specialist (Outside Sales) to assist with growth in our s ales territory in middle GA. Territory includes Macon, GA; Douglas, GA; Valdosta, GA; Thomasville, GA ; Albany, GA and surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities
The Finishings Specialist Sales Representative is a technical sales position responsible for the overall relationship and management of day-to-day sales activities towards cabinet and furniture manufacturer accounts in his / her territory. You will successfully manage the sales of Richelieu’s Finishing product solutions (stains, paints, coatings, thinners, solvents, adhesives, abrasives, and other accessories) through structured consultative sales discussions, ultimately serving as a business advisor towards your customers. By positioning yourself as an indispensable resource, you will enable your customers to solve problems and increase business results. In turn, you will be building a thriving business of your own.
- Work in tandem with Richelieu's Industrial Sales Representatives to schedule and hold face-to-face consultations with new and existing customers, learning about their business and how Richelieu Finishing product solutions can enhance their results
- Maintain accountability for the growth of your provided territory, both through the development of existing relationships as well as the acquisition of new customers
- Identify and analyze past buying patterns of current accounts, and brainstorm ways to become their stronger, more inclusive supplier
- Provide a state of the art customer service experience, positioning yourself as their desired one-stop shop
- Educate yourself on, and continuously stay up to date with, Richelieu’s Finishing product offerings, as well as ever-changing market conditions and competitive analysis
- Hold responsibility for system information and reporting in CRM application
What We Are Looking For
Technically-minded, preferably with experience or education in chemistry / scienceKnowledge of wood coatings or powder / spray coatings is key to success in this position; spray application finish background is a plusAbility to take part in the provided training to acquire an understanding of coatings and finishing with various products, applications, and methodsPassionate, proactive, coachable, strong work ethicAbility to schedule and manage your own time, delivering on the activities that produce resultsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsDeveloped analytical, planning, organizing, and monitoring skillsExperience in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software an assetProficiency with Microsoft Office applications; must be able to effectively use Excel, Word, Outlook for daily responsibilities and tasksAs this position requires regular automobile travel, you must have your own independent, reliable transportation. This position requires you to work "in the field," making in-person visits to customers three to four days per weekThis position may occasionally involve lifting / pushing / carrying items up to 50 poundsCompensation and Benefits
