JOB TITLE : Chief Technology Officer

POSITION SUMMARY :
This position will play a critical role in partnering with executive leadership to develop our organization’s technology strategy and be responsible for the successful execution of that strategy. Responsible for leading the division to provide the information technology infrastructure and enterprise architecture, processes and resources to effectively deliver the technology and data needs of the various VFB entities and our members. CTO is responsible for providing leadership and coaching to the Information Technology department staff and managing vendor performance for the successful attainment of all performance objectives of the division.

About the Role
As the CTO, you will be at the forefront of our technological advancement, partnering with executive leadership to craft and execute a cutting-edge technology strategy. This pivotal role involves leading our Information Services division to deliver robust IT infrastructure and enterprise architecture, ensuring our various entities and members have the technological resources they need to thrive.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Develop and implement a strategic plan to provide the IT infrastructure, processes and resources necessary to deliver the technology needs of VFB entities and our members
- Define, communicate, and implement an enterprise architecture to support user applications and needs
- Cultivate positive partnerships across the organization to effectively deliver technology to VFB
- Lead the Information Technology steering committee and facilitate decision making on technology investments in collaboration with company leadership
- Establish and maintain an effective, comprehensive financial framework for corporate wide Information Technology processes and initiatives
- Facilitate data classification and data governance efforts
- Establish consistent, proactive dialogue with business partners to understand needs and most effectively & efficiently execute information technology services on their behalf in a timely manner
- Develop an effective technology organization that successfully delivers continuous improvement in technology projects and services
- Develop and maintain a professional, educated, and informed team that successfully executes on the Information Technology mission
- Develop and coach IS management to successfully achieve goals and objectives
- Collaborate with business leaders, departments, external agencies and vendors
- Support, manage, and administer budget and contracts for technology spending
- Oversee the execution of requests for proposals (RFPS), request for qualification (RFQs), and invitations for bid (IFBs)
- Report to the Board of Directors and leadership on the company’s technology status, goals and progress
- Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and innovations, and identify opportunities to integrate them into our business operations.
- In collaboration with the Chief Risk Officer, ensure technology operations comply with relevant regulations and standards, including data privacy and security requirements.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL / EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems / Computer Science / BusinessMinimum 10 years management experienceMinimum 10 years of experience in developing and executing information technology strategic plans at the corporate / enterprise levelMinimum 10 years of experience in the design, development and implementation of information systems and project managementMINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS
Proven ability to create partnerships across an organization and to deliver and communicate results diplomaticallyExceptional ability to lead and coach individuals and teamsStrong knowledge of information systems and requirementsExcellent knowledge of information systems architecture, design and development methodologyExtensive experience in the definition, design, development and implementation of application softwareExtensive experience in the design and implementation of enterprise IS strategiesExcellent analytical / strategic and project management skillsExcellent management skills that has been provenExcellent knowledge of business and accounting processesExcellent oral and written communication skillsOutstanding ability to work with vendorsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
