Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Sr. Project Coordinato r for a 1 8 Month + Contract opportunity. DUTIES : The Sr. Project Coordinator is an individual that will undertake higher level administration, project coordination and data gathering / analysis. Tasks may include : typing, filing, taking dictation, data entry, verifying quality of work, and making routine calculations, preparing forms, reports, sketches, diagrams, operating a variety of office equipment, using a personal computer to enter and retrieve information to compile various routine reports / orders as well as utilize various computer software programs. Additionally, the Project Coordinator is responsible for : Gathering and analyzing data; utilizing and updating electronic dashboards (Tableau, Power BI),Interpreting gathered data; preparing PowerPoint slides and visual management,Submitting reports to the Supervisors and Senior Management,Provide support for management and other teams with facilitating meetings, developing metrics and tracking data,Formulating procedures and written process manuals and job aids,Travel once or twice a quarter to a service center listed in the locations above for team meetingsMaintaining daily production reportsAssisting visitorsPerforming other miscellaneous office tasksTravel scheduling / coordination and office space coordinationMakes calculations in an accurate manner Requirements Project coordinators must be well-organized, capable of working under pressure, and able to multitask, and attention to detail and a patient demeanor are also important. They should also be familiar with software such as Microsoft Excel, and a associates degree in business or communications is generally required for this position. Work is usually done in an office environment, though some travel may occasionally be required. Ability to analyze complex problems, recommend alternatives, and take corrective action, while exhibiting in-depth knowledge of the policies and procedures of the business. Associate degree in a scientific, technical, or business field (OR 48 scientific, technical, or business credit hours as measured on a semester basis), AND three (3) years of work experience in Project Coordination and / or applied complex design. Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel and PowerPoint experience is required; Visio and OneNote experience is a plus Experience using and maintaining electronic dashboards such as Tableau, Power BI Some SAP experience Experience interpreting and gathering data Experience preparing PowerPoint slides and visual management to present to stakeholders Presentation development using MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Ability to perform standard to complex office tasks Experience tracking, maintaining, and reporting on various inventories Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks Complex integration of conflicting calendar priorities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills Excellent organizational skills
