SharePoint AdministratorNorfolk Naval Base, Virginia
Orchard is supporting a growing Federal Contractor with a strong reputation in surveillance and cyber security. We are seeking a SharePoint Administrator to install, configure, deploy and maintain SharePoint, as well as provide technical support and guidance on SharePoint processes and tools.
As the SharePoint Administrator, you will :
- Responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining SharePoint environments (Online or On-Premises), including managing site collections, permissions, and security policies to ensure secure and efficient collaboration.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, apply updates, and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data.
- Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Power Platform), automate tasks via PowerShell, enforce governance policies, and provide user training and support to optimize SharePoint’s functionality and alignment with organizational needs.
- Provide technical instructions to outline how solutions are created, detailed processes which the solutions are based on, and instructions or rules regarding how the solutions are to be used by the customer.
- Develop and maintain websites, sub-sites, and pages on private and public facing SharePoint servers within Customer-owned-or-approved environments.
- Remain current on latest Customer SharePoint best practices and policies provided by the DoD.
- Maintain Command SharePoint Legacy portal as well as File share in SharePoint Portal Online (SPO).
- Coordinate with Customer departments to establish, maintain, and develop sites and SPO.
- Develop a SharePoint SOP for users.
- Prepare SharePoint briefs and presentations for leadership
- Ensure compliance with proper command security protocols.
- Provide systems design, development, integration, and implementation support for one public website.
- Develop business processes and automated workflows, as required, to support two portal sites with subsites and one public website.
- Perform customer service functions as a part of an existing support staff in support of public website and portals; address requests for issue resolution and technical support within two (2) business days and field up to 50 requests for support per day.
- Suggest and implement changes to the existing systems used for issue resolution and change requests in the spirit of continual service improvement
- Create, edit, and reverse-engineer SharePoint workflows.
- Design and facilitate group sessions on topics related to Information Technology, SharePoint, and IT system support.
- Provide a Monthly Status Report and Financial Summary Report NLT the 10th of each month via email.
- Participate in SharePoint weekly meeting when applicable.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in IT Management, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or related discipline.5+ years’ experience working with SharePoint tools, workflows, site customizations, site and server security.Must demonstrate excellent problem-solving capabilities and be proficient in both verbal and written communications.Must be a Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP).Must hold a Secret Clearance with a Tier 3 investigation / IT Level II.Must be a U.S. citizen.Must hold relevant qualifications / certifications IAW DoD 8140, Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) guidelines.Must be eligible for Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD)-12 to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
