Business Continuity Coordinator
Coordinates and implements training of University employees and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) staff in business continuity and preparedness functions. Assists the Senior Director of Security and Emergency Management with designing and executing tabletops, trainings, and exercises to test the plans and prepare the University community for effective continuity of operations. Evaluates the University response and recommends improvements. Monitors findings of business continuity plans. Assists Senior Director in orchestrating the development and maintenance of all business continuity activities for the university. Oversees the creation of clear and accurate reports, records, and databases to include after-action reports following training exercises and major emergencies, other training records, business continuity plans, committee meeting notes, staff contact lists, and all other emergency management records. Ensures all programmatic functions related to business continuity planning are complete, accurate, and timely in their delivery. Guides university departments in the development of business continuity plans by consulting and collaborating with department leadership. Oversees the analyzing of processes and identifying critical functions, conducting business impact analyses, monitoring plan development progress, reviewing completed plans, and providing feedback to improve plans. Assists the office in the coordination and activation of a functional Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Available for on-call response to perform emergency management and business continuity functions and related duties during an emergency. Perform other duties and related functions as assigned to assist the office and the University with business continuity and emergency management functions.
