Overview

GlobalVac & Air is seeking a SolidWorks Designer to help create system drawings and designs. The role involves working with large mechanical assemblies and learning more about large mechanical systems. Designs will range from small vacuum pump systems to large, containerized site remediation systems. Systems are designed for use in hospitals, laboratories, and a variety of industrial sites. You will be expected to be familiar with equipment, assembly, and layout drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
• Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
• Create design specifications, documentation, and material lists
• Estimate costs and weights for designs
• Prepare complete documentation packages for engineers
• Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other regulations
• Developing and maintaining product library of components and assemblies
