The Turbomachinery and Heat Exchanger Analysis and Design group within the Mechanical Systems and Components (MS&C) directorate is responsible for the design development and analysis of Environmental Control System (ECS) turbomachinery and heat exchangers as well as electric traction drive motors. The successful applicant will be primarily responsible for turbomachinery aerodynamic design and analysis with occasional need for heat transfer and conjugate heat transfer analysis. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs. You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards processes and tools to ensure compliance to customer and program requirements. Other responsibilities include communicating with Project engineering teams conduction of design reviews presentations to internal and external customers and contributing to department process improvement initiatives.

Needs to be proficient with ANSYS WB SpaceClaim CFX or other industry standard CFD and CHT package

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design modify and analyze aerodynamic components like centrifugal compressors axial fans turbines inlets secondary flow paths etc.
• Support test activities define instrumentation and test plans analyze test data troubleshoot
• Prepare and present clear presentations and reports that summarize the efforts and the key results
• Provide technical oversight to global engineering teams across time zones
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
• Ensure Requirements Validation Project and Product compliance and Risk management
• Contribute to process Development and Automation standard work and best practices
• Engage in and drive Root Cause and Corrective Action as needed

Theannual base salary rangefor this position is $133000.00 - $167000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education and training key skills as well as market and business considerations.
