Primary Purpose :

Responsible for the assessment of language functioning and / or communication disorders, the impact of these disorders on the student's ability to profit from instruction, as well as the development and implementation of intervention strategies designed to help reduce or eliminate this interference. Provide consultation to teachers, parents, other support personnel, community agencies and other appropriate resource personnel concerning individual educational plan design, implementation, evaluation, development of appropriate learning / instructional strategies and access of needed services.

Qualifications / Skills :

Education / Certification :

• Valid Texas License in Speech Language Pathology or Valid Texas Education Agency certification in accordance with applicable statutes.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (preferred).
