Your Role

As a Gensler Project Architect in our Washington, D.C. office, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces. It's your job to contribute to a team of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled sports facilities. You will leverage your technical acumen in Revit to drive projects from concept through build in a collaborative team while mentoring your team members. With you as part of the design team, architecture has never been so engaging.

What You Will Do

• Manage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
• Lead technical documentation process, guide questions for specifications, and mentor less experienced designers
• Manage communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants
• Resolve complex technical and design issues to produce innovative technical / constructible solutions
• Direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
• Responsible for oversight and delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical quality
• Maintain and oversee the project manual and specifications
• Process submittals / substitution requests during construction and address RFIs
• Interface with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction phases
• Actively participate in and contribute to the financial performance of project
• Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with Project Manager
• Ensure projects conform to contract
• Contribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programs

Your Qualifications

The base salary range is estimated to be between $76K- $110K plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience. This role is not remote; we look forward to working with our new Architect in our dynamic and recently re-designed Washington, D.C. office.
