Plant Materials Manager

Materials Manager Manufacturing Newton IA Onsite

An established manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products is seeking a hands-on Materials Manager to lead all aspects of material flow from inbound supply through in-plant movement to outbound finished goods.

This is a highly visible leadership role managing a team of up to 10 across scheduling planning inventory control and shipping / receiving . Youll work onsite in a medium-volume custom manufacturing environment with modern systems in place (SAP) and an immediate need for a strong floor presence and team leadership.

What Youll Do :

Lead day-to-day and strategic materials operations

Oversee inbound supply internal logistics and outbound shipments

Supervise and develop team members in planning inventory shipping / receiving

Drive collaboration with production scheduling and leadership teams

Ensure timely material availability to support on-time delivery

What Were Looking For :

7 years in a manufacturing environment (metal products a plus)

3 years in a supervisory or team leadership role

Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred)

Comfortable working on the floor in a highly customized production setting

A blend of tactical execution and strategic thinking
