Vineyard City is Hiring a Youth Volleyball Referee / Supervisor

Vineyard City is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Youth Volleyball Referees and Supervisors for the Vineyard Youth Volleyball League. Games will take place from October 4th to December 4th, 2025 , at Vineyard's Freedom Preparatory Academy.

Game Day Schedule 3rd - 6th Grade COED

• Work Hours : Tuesday / Thursday 5 : 00pm - 9 : 30pm and / or Saturday 8 : 30am - 1 : 30pm

Each division will have one referee per game.

Responsibilities : Referees and supervisors will report to Vineyard City's Recreation Coordinators. Primary duties include officiating games, setting up and cleaning up, maintaining order and good sportsmanship, and teaching participants basic volleyball skills. Clear communication, including whistle use to make "calls," is required.

Training for all referees and supervisors will be provided in-person prior to their assigned divisions. Ongoing training and two performance evaluations will take place during the season.

Bonuses and swag are available based on performance.

Practice Schedule : Teams will have scheduled practices on Saturdays between 8 : 30 a.m. and 1 : 30 p.m., from October 4th to November 22nd, 2025 .

Interview Process : In-person or Zoom interviews will begin the week of September 29th, 2025 . Interviews will be scheduled based on the availability of both the applicant and Vineyard Recreation's hiring staff.
