Summary
The Manager, Treasury & Corporate Tax position will manage day to day activities including cash flow, payment schedules, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This position will also be responsible for state and local tax compliance for Glovis America and Subsidiaries, annual and quarterly state tax provisions, coordination of state tax audits, design and implementation of state tax policies and procedures, and other special projects.
Responsibilities
- Treasury Activities and Functions Monitor daily cash transactions and cash trends to meet monthly KPI and variance analysis compared to goal Prepare weekly payment lists with assistance from accounts payable staff, ensuring that the accounts payable and the companys financial obligations are met efficiently Provide oversight of domestic and international bank account balances and required cash movements Oversee timing of invoice receipt and payment processing to manage vendor relationships along with internal cash forecasts Review all data entry on vendor invoices, ensure accruals are correct in the general ledger, and reconcile the pre-payment to vendor and partial payments Manage intercompany and foreign currencies Ensure all ACH, wires, and paper checks are processed in the bank and recorded in the general ledger timely Assist with month end transaction review for cash reporting and expense categorization Coordinate with other departments on new vendor setup, recurring expenses, payment timing, and other inquiries Oversee the corporate credit card program for new and existing credit cards Standardize accounts payable procedures Manage the processing of employee expense reimbursements and expense Manage Bank reconciliation and BS account balance reconciliation
- Corporate Income Tax Filing and any Local Monthly Tax Filing (B&O, Sales Tax, & Property) Responsible for federal, state and local income & franchise tax returns, estimated payments and extensions, including review of trial balances and unusual transactions, reconciliation of returns to the financial statements, and creation of workpapers to support the Schedule M book / tax differences Responsible for annual and quarterly income tax provision and accounting for income taxes Assist with coordination, monitoring, and review of international compliance Update and maintain the tax procedures and controls for the compliance Coordinate federal and state income / franchise tax audits, including responding to inquiries Work on projects that require technical knowledge, teamwork, problem solving skills, organizational skills
- Other Duties and Responsibilities Assist with quarterly review, interim audit, and annual audit Monthly cash & tax relevant reporting with variance analysis Ad hoc projects as needed
Compensation Range
