GFEBS Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Financial Analysis

Job Description :

Thompson Gray is seeking a highly skilled GFEBS Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide financial analysis support to the U.S. Army customer. This role focuses on analyzing budget execution developing financial models and supporting program decision-making through data-driven addition providing expert financial insight and analysis leveraging data sourced from GFEBS and Excel-based tools.

Duties will include :

• Conduct detailed financial analysis of Budget Execution Plans for FY26 primarily using Excel-based models.
• Perform comprehensive analysis of budgets and actuals identifying trends variances and areas for optimization.
• Develop and maintain cash flow models to estimate timing of obligations disbursements and reimbursements.
• Assist the government with what-if scenario modeling and variable analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
• Review and analyze monthly execution reports to evaluate program performance and spending patterns.
• Collaborate with government personnel to interpret financial data explain impacts on program outcomes and provide actionable recommendations.
• Provide expertise in program financial management principles and best practices supporting program managers in understanding financial execution.
