The Real Estate Manager is responsible for supporting Steelhead America's land acquisition and title efforts for its growing Renewable Energy portfolio. Responsibilities include supporting a project developer managing lease acquisition and real estate related matters, support during project financing, and providing input on best practices, process improvement and standardization.
Responsibilities
- Plan, control and direct internal and external land agent real estate activities such as lease acquisition and negotiation, right-of-way negotiation, and other Real Estate agreements needed to support the project site development.
- Coordinates regularly with developers and public engagement professionals on project-related land and community engagement activities
- Develop Steelhead best practices for land acquisition efforts including commercial offerings, brand management, training and landowner communication.
- Coordinates with developers and team leaders to plan strategy and support land acquisition for project site development.
- Oversee real estate documentation for accuracy of initial and final drafts and determine affiliate supporting title and ancillary documents necessary.
- Analyzes and interpret legal and title documents necessary to validate signing authority.
- Completes monthly forecasting and reports and supports team members with use and adoption of AltAmps
- Represent Steelhead to project stakeholders in a professional manner. Discuss company mission, project details, and various types of surface lease agreements with prospective landowners.
- Works with GIS team and external land brokers to identify mapping needs and land status updates.
- Participates in special projects or activities related to real estate
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in acquisition of land agreements for energy projects. Renewable experience optimal.Has in-depth know how in developing, negotiating, and executing complex real estate agreements.Working knowledge of chain of title, surface lease agreements, and title curative documentsDemonstrated ability to build relationships and interface effectively with cross-functional employee groups and external stakeholders.Capable of overseeing numerous duties at the same time and adept at navigating competing requirements in a bustling professional setting.Motivated and creative problem-solver who is committed to assessing, solving, communicating, and implementing strategic solutions to complex, multifaceted challenges.Skilled negotiating and problem-solving skills with emphasis on attention to detail.Has a high attention to detail, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and works well.Can be an effective spokesperson and public representative for Vestas Americas.Willing to travel regularly within US and Canada (expected up to -%)Competencies
