Job Title : Communications Desk Agent
Department : Guest Experiences
Reports To : Communications Desk Manager
Rate of Pay : $17 / Hour + guest package commissions
Job Type : Year-Round : Part-Time
Shift : Variable shifts; 8am-4pm or 10am-6pm (8-hour shifts)
Must work a minimum of 3 shifts per week. Must be available Weekends & Holidays
SUMMARY
The Communications Agent is a well-versed source of property and amenity knowledge representing a professional first contact during all guest engagements by politely answering incoming phone calls, answering questions, making reservations and suggestions to provide a complete guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer incoming phone calls using extensive knowledge of the resort.
- Serve as a key point of contact for Guests, effectively and efficiently managing requests, inquiries, and complaints.
- Obtain and proactively maintain an inclusive knowledge of all resort amenities, activities, programming, and environmental initiatives.
- Make reservations & bookings for guests at all Sundance Resort outlets, including F&B, Spa, Programming (Box Office), and Summer & Winter Activities (ZipTour, Stables, Art Studio, Fly Fishing, Nordic Center).
- Ensure the highest level of hospitality and service are provided to guests.
- Demonstrates a friendly and outgoing demeanor and passion for creating significant experiences for our guests.
- Contact Outlet Managers for restaurant group reservations.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Exhibit exceptional Sundance knowledge and ability to effectively communicate with staff and guests.
- Assist with the making and distribution of resort documents including the Sundance Daily, Resort Information Guide, and Resort Phone Directory.
- Act as the communications dispatch in the event of an emergency, lift closure, etc.
- Keep Sundance business and guest information confidential.
- Coordinate with Sales and Front Office all group shipping and delivery needs.
- Sort incoming mail and distribute it to the proper department mailboxes.
- Help departments and guests with outgoing packages (including packaging them neatly and safely), weigh, enter in log, and charge appropriately following accounting procedures.
- Assist Safety for checking in and out property keys and department radios.
- Assist Communications Desk Manager with additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years related experience and / or training.Proficient with Point-of-Sale Software, computer databases, spreadsheets, timekeeping systems and email.BENEFITS
