The County of San Diego's Office of Economic Development and Government Affairs (EDGA) has a current opening for Program Coordinator-Small Business Engagement!
The San Diego County Office of Economic Development and Government Affairs (EDGA) is responsible for maintaining the County’s economic development goal of uplifting all San Diegans, as well as overseeing the Board of Supervisors’ Legislative Program, overseeing the Arts & Culture Commission, administering a Grants Office; and updating and implementing the County’s Strategic Plan and governance documents.
Program Coordinator positions provide administrative, analytical, planning, and management support for programs, projects, and facilities where substantive administrative, policy, and / or technical issues require specialized analysis, recommendation, and implementation.
The Program Coordinator position for EDGA will assist the department’s Small Business Manager in enacting EDGA’s small business technical assistance and capacity building programs, as well as participate in outreach and engagement activities to support our regional small businesses and non-profit enterprises. This role involves project management, working with contract vendors, engaging with the business community, and representing the County at business engagement events.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or certified foreign studies equivalency, in business administration, public administration, environmental studies, civil engineering, accounting, information systems, or closely related field, AND ,

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT
As part of the County of San Diego’s pre-employment process, prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment. Additional types of background investigations may be conducted based on the job-related activities of the position. Current County employees may be excluded from this process.
