The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 70-90% (28-36 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UICC North Liberty Pediatric Clinic . This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties / clinic locations including but not limited to : Pediatrics and / or Specialty / Outreach Clinics.
Our LPN's accompany the physicians or medical providers into the examination rooms in order to transcribe the clinician’s and care team’s encounter with the patients in real time. They accurately and thoroughly document the encounter with our patients as it is being performed by the providers, which may include documentation in the following sections : problem list, history of present illness, review of systems, physical exam, assessment and plan, procedures and treatments performed by team, patient education, orders, medications, referrals, explanations of risks and benefits, and instructions for self-care and follow-up.

Our pediatricians specialize in the care of infants, children, and adolescents and UICC LPN's help them provide a range of services from well-child care, to basic childhood immunizations and illnesses, to managing complex medical conditions and chronic disorders.
Our pediatricians are members of the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital team which means they work hand-in-hand with all pediatric specialists at UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital. The use of one electronic medical record for each patient ensures constant and timely communication between your child’s entire medical team.

Percent of Time : 70 - 90% (28 - 36 hours per week)
Schedule : Monday - Friday; Variable hours accomplished between 7 : 30 AM – 8 : 30 PM; standard hours will be 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM with some rotating evenings each month until 8 : 00 PM. No weekends and no holidays. No on call time, 8 or 10 hour shifts available
Location : North Liberty, IA (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours)
Pay Grade : 11
Salary : $43,848.32 to $65,332.32 (at 100% time) / Hourly rate : $20.92 - $31.17 ( based on years of experience )
