job_description.job_card.job_descriptionUnderwrite purchase, refinance, leasehold, and construction commercial transactions, evaluating title search data, surveys, and zoning. Draft and issue title commitments, policies, and endorsements in line with state-specific and national underwriting standards. Review and clear title exceptions, resolve curative issues, and communicate with stakeholders to eliminate deal blockers. Maintain accurate file documentation and prepare reports on open files, issued policies, and revenue metrics. Serve as the main contact for clients and attorneys, providing underwriting guidance and proactive communication. Support compliance efforts through file audits, AR tracking, and adherence to corporate and regulatory standards. Experience : 5+ years in commercial title underwriting with experience in GA, TN, or VA transactions. Licensing : Active underwriter license(s) in GA, TN, or VA preferred. Industry Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of commercial title insurance practices, escrow, ALTA standards, and legal documentation. Technical Proficiency : Strong skills in title production software, Microsoft Office Suite, and electronic recording systems. Soft Skills : Detail-oriented, analytical, communicative, and professional-able to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
