Solar Construction Superintendent
Great opportunity to advance your solar career and become a Superintendent! No solar or superintendent experience required! Manage on-site operations, including coordinating subcontractors, to ensure projects are completed on time. Oversee quality control, perform quality inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, OSHA, and company policies. Review and interpret construction drawings and plans to ensure work is executed according to specifications. Communicate regularly with the project team and provide updates on project progress. Manage sub-contractors. Our client has multiple solar sites throughout the state ranging from 660 kW to 6 MW. Construction Superintendents will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations / administrative duties on site. A typical day will start with them on site in the trailer and managing the construction of the project. They will be reporting directly into the construction manager for the projects and will be responsible for sending them daily reports of progress and safety. Will manage the sub vendors on site and work with the foreman from their sub vendors.
Additional duties include : coordination of work on site, managing the inventory and deliveries on-site, taking pictures of progress and reporting back to the PM, inspections, documenting information from other contractors / engineers and making sure the information gets passed along to the right people. Typically first one on and last one off the job site.
Additional skills & qualifications : SWPPP certification, OSHA 30, NFPA70E, First Aid CPR and AED certifications are required. Rooftop solar experience. Strong experience in civil construction, electrical, and mechanical in solar construction. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings (civil, electrical, and mechanical). Proficient with Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiar with Apple iPad's. Strong leadership and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to travel as required. Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
Job Type & Location
This is a contract to hire position based out of Smyrna, DE. Pay and benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
