Hospice Aide Inpatient night shift

Under general supervision is responsible for the delivery of specific aspects of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. They are a certified non-professional worker specifically trained to give personal care to patients.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent .

Experience

One year of previous experience. Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program accepted in lieu of experience. Hospice experience preferred. Previous experience with dying patients.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge and understanding of the Hospice Philosophy
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Skill in managing issues related to death / dying
• Ability to work independently
• Skill with personal computers and electronic documentation
• Ability to demonstrate empathy for the needs of the ill injured frail and the impaired.
• Competent to safety handle medications

Pay Range

$16.74 - $23.21

Final salary offer will be based on the candidates qualifications education experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
