Position Details Title Visiting Assistant Professor of Speech Language Pathology Appointment Status Non-Tenure Track Department IU South Bend Rehabilitation Sciences Location South Bend Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathology graduate program housed at Indiana University South Bend within the Vera Z. Dwyer School of Health Sciences, seeks a faculty with a commitment toward inspiring and educating the next generation of speech-language pathologists. The position will begin on January 1, 2026 and end on May 31, 2026. The program emphasizes interprofessional collaboration and community partnerships, with small class sizes and an emphasis on establishing collegial relationships with students. Based in the Elkhart campus of IU South Bend, responsibilities include teaching graduate courses and clinical supervision of graduate students both on and off-campus. Faculty may be required to teach evenings, weekends, off-site, and / or online courses as part of this position’s responsibilities.

  • Doctorate degree in speech-language pathology, speech and hearing science, communication disorders or a related area.
  • The applicant must have the CCC in SLP and be eligible for Indiana state licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in pediatric speech and language disorders.
  • Graduate speech language pathology teaching experience.
  • Experience in clinical supervision of students or clinical fellows.
  • Experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.
