Our Inpatient Nursing team is crucial in helping clients through the recovery process and ensuring their well-being. The primary nursing responsibilities would involve providing care and support to clients who are undergoing treatment for substance use and / or mental health disorders.
Education Requirements : Minimum completion of RN program at an accredited college, prefer bachelor's degree in nursing.
Experience Requirements : 1+ years of experience working in recovery or behavioral health field preferred.
Licensure Requirements :
- RN License valid in the State of Ohio
- CPR / BLS certification- will train upon hire
- 21 years of age or older, valid drivers license, acceptable driving record, and insurable through the company's insurance carrier.
Job Responsibilities :
Assessment and Monitoring :Conduct initial assessments of clients to determine their physical and mental health status, including evaluating their substance abuse history and any co-occurring conditions.Monitor clients throughout their treatment to assess their progress and address any issues that may arise.Assess clients in an individual or group setting who are experiencing active withdrawal while providing a safe and supportive environment.Medication Administration :Administer medications as prescribed by medical providers in an inpatient setting.Client Education :Provide education to clients and their families about addiction, recovery, and mental health treatment options, and healthy lifestyle choices.Teach clients about medication management, coping skills, and strategies for relapse prevention.Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team :Work closely with medical providers, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients.Crisis Intervention :Respond to emergencies and crises within the facility, such as code blue, overdose situations, or clients experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms.Provide immediate medical care and interventions to stabilize clients and ensure their safety.Documentation and Record-Keeping :Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including client assessments, treatment plans, medication administration records, and progress notes.Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards related to client confidentiality and record-keeping.Support for Clients and Families :Offer emotional support and guidance to clients and their families throughout the recovery process.Help clients develop coping skills, set goals for recovery, and navigate challenges they may face during treatment.Advocacy and Referrals :Advocate for clients' needs and collaborate with community resources to provide comprehensive care.Make referrals to external healthcare providers, support groups, or social services as needed to support long-term recovery.Quality Improvement and Compliance :Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care and outcomes.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in addiction and mental health treatment.Other duties as assigned within the medical department.Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (required).
