Countryside Veterinary Clinic, a small animal general practice in Henrico,VA is looking to fill for a newly created role, Hospital Assistant.

As a hospital assistant you will rotate through the different roles of the clinic - customer service representative, veterinary assistant, surgical assistant, and kennel technician.

What you will be responsible for as a hospital assistant :

  • Ensuring medical records are kept up to date.
  • Invoicing clients.
  • Clerical Work.
  • Answering Phones / Emails / Texts.
  • Obtaining medical history.
  • Obtaining vitals.
  • Restraining for the doctors and veterinary technicians.
  • Filling doctor prescribed medications.
  • Running lab samples in clinic
  • Taking care of boarders.
  • Holding for vet techs to sedated surgical patients.
  • Cleaning up surgery, surgical instruments, wrapping packs.
