Key Job Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic finance partner, working closely with People Experience and Technology leadership
Design and maintain comprehensive financial metrics, reports, and dashboards that drive critical business decisions
Lead core planning processes, including quarterly estimates and multi-year financial forecasts
Collaborate with senior business leaders and cross-functional finance teams
Conduct sophisticated cost-benefit analyses and communicate key financial drivers

About the Team
We are a collaborative and innovative finance team dedicated to understanding and supporting Amazon's People Experience and Technology organization. Our work goes beyond traditional financial reporting - we're strategic partners who provide critical insights that drive organizational decision-making. We value intellectual curiosity, strategic thinking, and the ability to communicate complex financial concepts with clarity and impact.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
6+ years of building financial and operational reports / data sets that inform business decision-making experience
6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating / implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples : SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples : Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Experience communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
